Here at the Old Watermill we have constructed five new fishing platforms for the exclusive use of our guests. three is on the mill pond (as in the picture), the other two are upstream in our field alongside the mill stream channel.
Reports from our guests say that the fishing is excellent, with most coarse species in abundance, These include Chubb, Pike Barbel , Roach, Perch among others. So come on you Anglers, have a relaxed holiday and enjoy your sport at the same time! We quote here from one of our fishing customers. He said:
” There is only
one word – amazing! Can’t wait to come back for another great stay at
this wonderful Mill. Can’t complain about the weather – it was glorious!
It certainly improved the fish’s demeanour, with great Bream fishing,
mostly in the 4 to 6 pound bracket, but the best being seven pounds, 10
ounces. Caught mostly on worm tipped with sweetcorn – delicious. Also
lots of Perch, Roach and Dace – and guess what, a 30 inch long Eel! “
