Our third visit to this beautiful mill house and surroundings – as welcoming as always. Very impressed with the new Hydro scheme. Weather fantastic. Spring just arrived. Perfect time to see Castle Ashby gardens – highly recommended.

Amazing location and fishing challenging but worth the effort.

Becky & Roy. Canterbury.
Amazing location and fishing challenging but worth the effort. More ‘boilies’ and ‘spam’ did the business! Loved Castle Ashby and Barnsdale plus a nostalgic visit to Jeyes Tea Room. Saw 2 Herons and lots of birdlife. Brilliant break.

What a lovely cottage – so peaceful and calm. Sunsets over the river were amazing. Great hosts – we will be back!

5 star

Great place to stay, Ann and Andy are a very friendly couple who will do anything to help you out to make your stay enjoyable. The fishing was good even with the water levels low, best method for the big bream is feeder in deep water in the mill pool, ground bait and pellet, some nice places to eat in wellingborough.

Thanks to you both, Don and Mark.

The Mill was everything we hoped for

Gail & Phil (Canada):-
Thank you Anne & Andy for a wonderful stay – the Mill was everything we hoped for and much more. Such a beautiful setting and walks right on the door step. The Mill was like a home from home – we could not have asked for anything else

The Watermill was gorgeous

fabulously quiet location

Johnson/Turnbull (Dover, Washington, USA):-
Beautiful cottage in a fabulous quiet location. Will definitely be back to try a spot of fishing.

Fantastic hosts

Suwat & Niramon RIEBROICHAROEN (Bangkok, Thialand):-
We stayed at the mill from 22 to 28 of Februay, As others commented, the hosts Anne and Andy are of good heart and courteousness. Anne drove us to the wedding ceremony of our friend in Wellingborough because our car was damaged in an accident. Anne also prepared the first breakfast at the mill for us because we did not know that the place is self catering. The home made Damson jam is best ever we have tried.

The perfect retreat

Matt Bayliss & Anna Ostman (Surrey):-
Quite simply, the perfect retreat. Anne & Andy are great, location is beautiful, the mill is perfect!. Our first of many stays.

What a special spot

Marc, Tanya and Diana (London & Brisbane):-

Ann, Peter Jones & Rio Abergavenny, South Wales):-
Loveley weekend meeting old friends. Best cottage for us in 25 years of self-catering.

Brilliant location and dog walks

Jillian, Mike and Robert Hill (Mickfield, Suffolk):-
Dash the Dog thought the walks were brilliant. Never knew Northamptonshire was so beautiful! Our own private island.

Fantastic accommodation…

Barbara and John Parker (UK):-
Fantastic accommodation, great location, nearby Summer Leys is worth more than one visit. We will miss all this very much.

The water, the birds and the history….

Just what we needed

Carol and Paul, Hazel & Pau (Wolverhampton & Dudley, West Mids)l:-
Just what we needed! A quiet break in beautiful surroundings in a lovely property. We are the folks that got lost on the way back from the Pub! Can we come again?

Thank you for a lovely stay

Anne and Philip Grand (Felthorpe, Norfolk):-
Thank you for a lovely stay. Such a pity we had to cut it short! We are mill enthusiasts and it was nice to stay in such a beautifully converted mill. Our “home” mill is Leatheringsett mill in Norfolk, a working watermill.
